Take a look at my career history and you'll see that I have numerous other strings to my bow that complement my work as a copywriter.
My experience and background
I’ve always loved writing, but it takes more than that to be successful as a copywriter. Throughout my career to date, I’ve worked hard to build up as much experience as possible, writing for clients across pretty much every sector, for businesses and consumers. I’ve also worked on developing complementary skills such as HTML, SEO and PR. After completing my degree at Oxford University (which I have to thank for my research skills and ability to juggle an insane amount of work), I started copywriting and proofreading in-house for a travel company. I then continued gaining copywriting experience working in digital marketing agencies, where I got to write copy for big names such as Miele and More Than Insurance. In my spare time, I studied for a Diploma in Copywriting to add to my CV.
Since going freelance, I’ve worked with everything from start-ups to international organisations, and on copy ranging from taglines to a full-length book. I love the varied challenges my work throws at me, and the hugely diverse things I have to learn about everyday. I love all my clients, but I’m particularly proud of my work with charities and NGOs, including the RSPCA, Helen & Douglas House children’s hospice and the United Nations World Food Programme.
