Fairfax & Favor
I was already a huge fan of upmarket fashion and lifestyle brand Fairfax & Favor when they approached me to help them define and shape their tone of voice prior to the relaunch of their website, so my continued work with them is a dream come true. I began by working alongside their branding agency to gain an in-depth understanding of the brand’s aspirational audience, its equestrian heritage and deep English roots branching out to gain much wider appeal among both women and men in country and city.
I then wrote the same paragraph of copy in a number of different styles, gaining feedback on which elements of each style worked best. Refining it down to a warm, contemporary style similar to that of glossy lifestyle magazines, I then rewrote all product and collection copy throughout the site, along with standard information such as frequently asked questions and product care advice. I continue to write product and collection copy with each new season, along with meta data for SEO, copy for product care labels and packaging and anything else the team needs from me on an ad hoc basis.
